This year Baker to Vegas will be held on April 21th, 2007

There are still some hotels that have rooms on hold for this event. The host hotel will be The Las Vegas Hilton.

Casino Night  will be on January 26th, 2007.  Look for more information to come.

Qualifying Runs

In order to qualify for one of the Department’s Baker to Vegas Teams you must complete one of the scheduled qualifying runs. We have runners with all levels of ability from those who just started running to those who compete in marathons. There is usually someone to run with and share ideas. We would like to have three teams entered in this year’s race, so don’t hesitate.

For the qualifying runs meet at the Fire Station at Hewes and Santiago Cyn Rd. in Villa Park. Please park behind the Fire Station.

  • Sunday, 3/18/07, 0800 hours
  • Tuesday, 3/20/07, 1300 hours
  • Thursday, 3/22/07, 1500 hours
  • Saturday, 3/24/07, 1000 hours
  • Wednesday, 3/28/07, 1300 hours
  • Saturday, 3/31/07, 0900 hours
  • Saturday, 4/1/07 0900 hours

Volunteers Needed

We need volunteers who want to come to Las Vegas and have fun, fun, fun. The more people we have, the more fun it is, and the less amount of time everyone spends on the course. You get a t-shirt, snacks, drinks, and lunch. We have new ideas for this year’s event but people are a must. Call us with any new ideas you have as well or if you would like more info. Orange County Sheriff's Running Team Mission Statement:

The purpose of the Orange County Sheriff's Running Team is to promote physical fitness, foster friendships and demonstrate pride in the department. Members represent the department, as well as law enforcement as a whole. For these reasons, members will demonstrate a positive image in language, attitude and lifestyle whenever representing the department and team. All levels of runners and all volunteers are accepted as team members.
